You are 'gods'!

John 10:34-35 ‘Jesus answered them, is it not written in your law, I said, you are gods? If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken).’

A Divine Mystery

God intends that you live an exemplary life. As a child of God, a Christian, you are created to display the wisdom and glory of God. Everything about you should speak about His goodness and life ought to pay you attention. You are divinely engineered to harass devils and terrorize satanic hordes.

This is a mystery. Jesus said ‘you are a god’ and not a mere man, woman, graduate or British citizen. You must stop perceiving yourself as a victim of the environment, a puppet or trapped by circumstances. Dear reader, you are a child of the Most High God (if you are born again) and are ‘a god’. Psalm 82:6 says, ‘I said, you are gods, and all of you are children of the Most High.’

You are classed a little lower than Elohim, Psalm 8:5. You are a deity. You bear the likeness and nature of God and must see yourself in this light. Distorted images of self ultimately derail destiny. Lucifer told Eve she had to eat the forbidden fruit to be like God, Genesis 3:5. He implied she was not already like God and lured her into deviant behaviour and lost dominion.

Move away from defining yourself by the clothes you wear. Gucci bags, Armani T-shirts or Police sunglasses should not classify you. By all means pride yourself in being a doctor, lawyer, teacher and so on, but do not be defined by these professions. Refuse to be Mr Rolex, Ms BMW or Rev. five-bedroom mansion, but be what God calls you: a god.

Wonder-working ‘gods’

Isaiah 8:18 ‘Here am I and the children whom the Lord has given me! We are for signs and wonders in Israel from the Lord of hosts, who dwells in Mount Zion.’

Beloved, you are fearfully and wonderfully made, Psalm 139:14. God said, ‘let us make man in our image, according to our likeness; let them have dominion’, Genesis 1:26. You are the image and likeness of God. When God sees you He sees Himself; when you behold the Lord, know that that’s what you are. Awake to your divine nature and call yourself exactly that, a god!
Parents name their children in almost every culture and God Almighty has named you. You must reject every name that people, life or circumstances have given to you. Stop responding to the name arthritis, lack, depression, hypertension, sorrow, barren and so on. They are not your names. Tell yourself and your world that you are back and remember who and what you are.

The Lord told me dominion is restored when identity is re-established. ‘In our image, according to our likeness; let them have dominion’, the Bible says. Those who know who they are (in the Lord) walk in dominion and it is no surprise that Isaiah 8:18 says they ‘are for signs and wonders’. That’s who you are: a person of dominion and power.

Take charge: gods are never intimidated. Believe God and His Word and stoke the flames of faith and boldness. Go home, open your front door and command poor health, pain or poverty to leave. Deport debt, invoke joy and rule and reign again. Lay hands on the sick, cast out devils and run riot over all oppression. Gods work wonders, not mere men.

You are a god! You are authorized to hold sway and command the extra-ordinary. Step up to the table and glorify God through your lifestyle. Jesus turned water into wine, raised the dead, walked on water, multiplied bread and fish, opened blind eyes, cleansed lepers and made the crippled walk. You can do the same.  

You are a sign and a wonder. God is raising a people of power and you are one of them. Be bold and strong. Enlist in the army of faith, who like Jesus can boldly say, ‘have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known me, Philip? He who has seen me has seen the Father; so how can you say, show us the Father?’ John 14:9.

Fill your heart with the Word of God. Walk in faith, think like a god, speak like a god and by all means act as one too. Introduce yourself to everyone and everything around and expect the amazing works of God to flow through you. We live in a new day and in truth ‘saviours shall come to Mount Zion to judge the mountains of Esau, and the kingdom shall be the Lord's’, Obadiah 21.
