PRISON MINISTRY

We are group of dedicated believers, willing to embrace the grace of God in fulfilling our purpose. Our desires are to reach out to others in prison and institution alike.

Mission
GHPM is to be a praying group, effective in all respect and upholding the vision of the house as part of Home Cell Network. Love, care and seek every opportunity and needful assistance to these vulnerable ones.

Vision

To visit and develop loving relationship with those in both prison and detention preaching the word of “Truth”:
-        Help offender rebuild their future
-        To see prison population decreasing
-        Assist them acquire their basic social needs
-        Help them develop their faith in Christ

Activities

-   We visits prison and detention centre twice a month (Standard Church Service)
-   Meetings every Wednesday in Children Church between 6pm and 7pm
-   GHPM meets last Saturday of every month as Home Cell
-   Meetings and seminars as appropriate.

Structure

Responsible to the Pastor or minister in charge.

• Sectional Coordinator to coordinate every activity group and facilitate that needs are met.

Mode of Operation

All our members go undergo adequate training and skills necessary needed for the assignments.

Conduct
-   You must be cleared of all criminal activities through vetting.
-   You will be required to carry your ID (driving license/ passport for all visits

Saturday 10th May 2008 - 10.00am to 4.30pm
Friday 16th May 2008 - 6.30pm to 9.30pm
Saturday 17th May 2008 - 10.00am to 4.30pm

2) Prison Awareness Training: a one day training on 29/03/2008, to be held at HMYOI Feltham

3) Prison Financial Training Awareness; a one day training course for all volunteers on 26/04/2008, Venue: Cardinal House Centre, 3 – 7 Arneway Street, Horseferry Road, London SW1P 2BG.
