Jan. 3rd ‘Winning Wisdom’
Bible Reading:     Prov. 24:5-6; 2 Cor. 10:3-5

Prov. 24:5-6 ‘A wise man is strong, yes, a man of knowledge increases strength; for by wise counsel you will wage your own war, and in a multitude of counsellors there is safety’

Every battle is a demand for a wisdom solution. The cure to confrontations and conflagrations of destiny is wisdom. King Solomon said ‘wisdom is better than strength…’ Eccl. 9:16 The might to prevail in battle is proportional to the wisdom you possess.

It’s hard to believe but there was once war in heaven, which is God’s abode. In Rev. 12:7 we see ‘war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought.’ Rest assured life comes with a fair share of conflicts.

Jesus said ‘from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.’ Mat. 11:12 Every battle is a wisdom fight and it (wisdom) is the key to walking in dominion.
A wise man scales the city of the mighty, and brings down the trusted stronghold’ Prov. 21:22. Joshua pulled down Jericho’s walls; Elijah healed Naaman’s leprosy; David brought down Goliath and Jesus opened Bartimaeus’ eyes. These were battles won by divine wisdom.

Confront your challenges with wisdom. Settle down, be still and let the voice of wisdom guarantee your place of victory over sin, sickness, sorrow, stagnation, suffering, short-supply and Satan.

Prayer:

  1. Despite the severity of conflict, assert your place of victory, triumph and dominion through God’s wisdom. Mk. 11:23; Job 22:28-29
  2. Pray for God’s abundant grace and glory to abound over your local church and Pastor. Ps. 84:11-12

Thought for the day:
Apply revelation practically and instantly. Do not just accumulate bible truth; resolve to engage the word without delay.
