Apr. 28th There Is A Way Of Escape I
Bible Reading: Lk. 15:11-32; Is. 43:1-4; 1 Jn. 1:9
devotional
Is. 30:15 ‘for thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: in returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and confidence shall be your strength. But you would not’
There is a divine way out of every and any dilemma but one must settle down with God and find ‘the’ escape route. God has His anointing in you to show you how to get out of the troubles and vicissitudes of life. 1 Jn. 2:27
When disaster knocks people habitually seek counsel from friends, professional advisers and even satanic mediums for directions. Friends, Jesus said ‘Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest’ Mat. 11:28
God has the solution so go for His answers. ‘In returning and rest you shall be saved’. The first step is to ‘return’ to God, repent and return to God and His ways. The first key to God’s salvation is repentance. The prodigal son’s rebellion was appalling but his father embraced and fully restored him when he repented.
The next thing is to ‘rest’ all concerns in the place and with the Person of rest. Paul said ‘be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God’ Phil. 4:6 Lean on God alone and ‘be still and know He is God’ Ps. 46:10
Prayer:
• Pray for God’s glory to swallow all darkness; clarity on God’s plans for you and your family in this season. 1 Chron. 12:32
• Prayer for more outpouring of the Holy Spirit, angelic encounters, supernatural visitations at GH installations Joel 2:28; Acts 2:2-4
Thought for the day:
Return to God; Rest your case with Him
