August 10th Lasting Success
Bible Reading: Mat. 5:13; Ps. 37:9-10

Deut. 29:10-11 ‘all of you stand today before the Lord your God: your leaders and your tribes and your elders and your officers, all the men of Israel, your little ones and your wives also the stranger who is in your camp, from the one who cuts your wood to the one who draws your water’
God takes pride in your success, extraordinary feats and being at the top of your game. You are not called to mediocrity, wretchedness or scorn. You will not be one to ‘draw water’ for others or like non-Christians succeed in one area but fail or fall terribly in others. Your success will not be fake or fade because God’s covenant program gets better with each passing day.
Ps. 37:1-2
‘do not fret because of evildoers, nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb’
God’s success covenant is enduring. It does not make wealthy today but leave beggarly the next. It certainly does not make you relevant in January but irrelevant the following month. His covenant means you can expect to be lifted daily and never go down or have it reversed.
Prov. 4:18 ‘the path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day’
Prayer:
i. Decree that the light of God’s word will shine all over your life and endeavours. Is. 60:1; Job. 22:28
ii. Pray that God will grant you knowledge, understanding and wisdom for increase Prov. 8:17-21
Thought for the day:
God’s covenant produces enduring success.
