September 7th Engaging God’s Word I
Bible Reading: Prov. 3:11-18, 22-26; Ps. 12:6-7

Ps. 1:1-3 ‘blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper’
God is principled and does nothing randomly. He has shown that the way to daily victory, success and prosperity is His word. David said ‘concerning the works of men, by the word of your lips, I have kept away from the paths of the destroyer’ Ps. 17:4. The word is your sure escape from destruction and access to the blessings of God. The word is so important to realising your expectations.
God’s word is irrevocable, infallible and incredible. It is an eternal source of life, health, peace, joy and wellbeing. Those who neglect the word sidetrack God’s power and blessings. You must give attention to the word and do not get too busy for what makes life fruitful
Josh. 1:8 ‘this book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success’
Study, meditate and act on the word. These are priceless covenant practices for God’s greatness, goodness and glory. Those who spend time in the word come in contact with divine knowledge, understanding and wisdom for unassailable exploits in life.
Prayer:
i. Pray that God fills the church with ‘Word’ filled, prayerful and praising believers. Eph. 5:18
ii. Rejoice in God’s salvation regardless of the testimony or the trial. Ps. 21:2
Thought for the day:
The trinity of success is knowledge, understanding & wisdom.
